Vintage Occupied Japan Colonial Courting Couple Porcelain Figurine 1945-1952
Vintage hand-painted porcelain figurine depicting an elegantly dressed courting couple in Colonial or 18th-century style clothing. The seated woman wears a flowing aqua blue-green dress with yellow bodice and pink accents, while the gentleman wears a deep burgundy coat, patterned breeches and black hat.
Marked “Made in Occupied Japan” on the underside, dating the piece to the post-WWII American occupation period. A charming example of Japanese export porcelain and a lovely addition to an Occupied Japan, vintage figurine or romantic decor collection.
