Vintage Pimpernel English Fox Hunting Placemats Set of 4 Hunting Green 18x13

Vintage set of four oversized Pimpernel English Fox Hunting placemats in the Hunting Green pattern. Each mat features a different traditional fox hunting scene with riders, horses and hounds surrounded by a deep hunter green border with fine decorative edging.

The artwork is after noted British sporting artist J. F. Herring Sr. 1795-1865, with his attribution printed beneath each scene. The extra large 18 x 13 inch format makes these especially striking for a dining table or equestrian themed display.

Finished with traditional cork backs to help protect the tabletop. A beautiful set for English country, hunt club, equestrian, horse or sporting art decor.

Condition
Good vintage pre-owned condition with surface and edge wear consistent with age and use. Small marks and areas of wear are present on the green borders, including a small light spot as shown. Cork backs remain in good overall condition. Please review photos closely for condition.
